Our team has always been passionate about helping the community. During every project, we focus on bringing beautiful, strategically-designed and built spaces to life. But our staff’s shared interest in creating stronger, brighter communities extends beyond commercial architecture and interior design. It’s part of our lifestyle.

The impact of strong community spaces.

Yes, we believe a big part of creating strong communities lies within the physical structures themselves. The spaces we design and build for our partners aren’t just aesthetically-pleasing… they’re also highly functional for everyday use. Because we understand that businesses’ need efficient, practical spaces for their customers and staff to thrive in.

But beyond the physical spaces, our team prioritizes the overall fabric of our communities by embracing opportunities to give back in other ways whenever possible.

“We want to be part of the community,

not only in design, but in stewardship.

Our goal is to help make our home the best possible

place to live, work, and play.”

– Greg Slack, Business Development/Project Manager

Achieving this goal starts with understanding what our community needs. At George Armour Ewart Architect, we understand everyone has different needs. By working on a variety of projects in multiple industries, we’ve come to understand those needs firsthand—and we use this knowledge to solve problems for members of our community.

Rooted in helping youth thrive.

One way we’re actively involved in creating solutions within our own community is through a focus on helping youth in our region. Our firm enjoys giving back by getting involved with youth sports, educational programs, and mission trips.

We believe children are the future. They are the ones who will shape our communities long-term. Helping them now is one way we’re able to help our community for years to come.

Whether it’s volunteering to read at a local school or mentoring a child on the field during a game, our people are committed to this mission when and where it counts. We’re actively looking for new ways to get involved and welcome input from architects in our area who are interested in joining a team of community-centric people!

East Tennessee: Did you know…

Thank YouSome of our architectural partners may be surprised to learn that GAEA Principal in Charge, George Ewart, has spent years leading youth on and off the field. In addition to his mentorship over the years, George has coached five Knox County youth football teams that made it to the league’s championship game.

Over the span of his life so far, George has coached a total of 17 teams with pride—15 of which made the playoffs and three of which won their championship games! Moving forward, he’s excited to continue mentoring youth and leading them to victories small and large. He aims to always serve as a helping hand to those in need—not just in the spaces he helps create, but in the legacy he leaves behind.

As for our firm’s involvement in the community, our goal for the future remains the same as ever: To give back what was given to us.
